United Nations Office at Vienna
A procurement-service internship at the UN in Vienna, October 2007 to April 2008: my first view of an institution from the inside.
Nizzar Ben Chekroune was an intern in the procurement service of the United Nations Office at Vienna from October 2007 to April 2008. It is the earliest United Nations role in his record, years before his work with UNIDO, UNITAR, IOM and the OIF.

From October 2007 to April 2008 I was an intern in the procurement service of the United Nations Office at Vienna.
It belongs in the body of work as a starting point. Procurement is the part of an institution where intentions become specifications, suppliers and contracts. I saw that side of the UN before I worked with institutions on programmes: UNIDO in Marrakech from 2015, then UNITAR, IOM and the OIF.
What I take forward
I know institutions from the procurement side as well as the programme side: how they buy, not only what they announce.
