I had the pleasure of working with Nizzar during UNIDO’s Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) programme in the Southern Mediterranean, an ambitious initiative spanning seven countries and bringing together businesses, creative professionals and public institutions.

Nizzar contributed to our cluster development work, where his ability to connect people, understand local and regional dynamics and translate complex development objectives into practical initiatives proved particularly valuable and sustainable.

What I remember most, however, is his initiative in conceiving and championing La Minute Créative, a project he personally developed and carried forward across the programme’s seven countries, beyond the scope of his original assignment. It reflected something I particularly appreciated about Nizzar: he did not limit himself to delivering what was expected. He identified opportunities to create additional value and took ownership of making them happen.

I got to know Nizzar during the BananaConf years, at a time when Web3 was moving incredibly fast and it was often difficult to separate genuine shifts in technology, culture and community from the noise around them.

What stood out to me about Nizzar was his ability to see beyond the technology itself. He understood that what made these new ecosystems interesting was the combination of people, identity, culture, community and business, and he had a rare ability to connect those dimensions.

Through BananaConf and the broader ecosystem around it, I saw him bring together people who would not necessarily have found each other otherwise, turn online relationships into real-world collaborations and experiences, and help create the conditions for ideas and communities to become something tangible.

I met with Nizzar 3 years ago in NFC Summit. Our communication formed naturally since he is a great communicator and also a connector. Throughout the years we came across at couple of events in the world and recently I worked with him closely during NFC Summit 2026. He was one of the key moderators and my experience working with him was seamless, he is one of the most responsive person I’ve worked in this industry. I've crossed paths with Nizzar at several conferences over the past few years, and he's one of those people you're glad to run into again. What he does well is put things, and people, in the spotlight. Most of us in tech build something and hope it gets noticed. Nizzar sees within minutes how a project or a person should be positioned, what story to tell and to whom, and he hands out that advice even when there's nothing in it for him.

Ma rencontre avec Nizar lors d’une formation a changé ma façon de voir l’IA : une extension de mes capacités, un outil pour mieux structurer mes idées, dépasser certaines difficultés et exprimer plus clairement ce que je pense.

Grâce à ses conseils, j’ai découvert des usages concrets pour avancer sur mes axes d’amélioration. Ce que j’apprécie particulièrement dans son approche, c’est la place qu’il donne à l’humain : l’humain d’abord, la technologie à son service. Quand on a commencé à travailler ensemble sur mon branding perso, il m'a posé une question simple : pourquoi quelqu'un qui fait grandir les entreprises des autres depuis des années n'a jamais pris le temps de construire la sienne ? Je n'avais pas de bonne réponse.

Et puis il y a l'homme. Nizzar a des valeurs qui ne se négocient pas. Le respect, d'abord : quand il vous écoute, il vous écoute vraiment, et on sent que l'attention qu'il vous porte n'est pas une technique. L'honnêteté ensuite : il vous dit ce qui est vrai, même quand ce n'est pas ce que vous espériez entendre. Et la loyauté : on peut lui confier ce qu'on a de plus personnel, il en prend soin. Il est exigeant, mais jamais froid.
