Tribalist Africa
Twenty-one seconds behind the scenes of a desert photo shoot, closing on the Arroz Con Pollo card.
Nizzar Ben Chekroune's historical public portfolio retains a short behind-the-scenes film for Tribalist Africa. It follows a photo shoot at a desert camp and closes on the card of Arroz Con Pollo, the studio he co-founded with Nabil Nadifi.

Tribalist Africa is kept as a twenty-one-second film that shows the work being made. It opens on a BTS title, then follows a shoot at a desert camp: dunes, a thatched parasol, a wooden deck under string lanterns, a photographer at work. It closes on the Arroz Con Pollo card. It is here for the format. A short making-of gives an audience the place and the effort behind the images, which the finished photographs cannot show on their own.

What I take forward
I treat the production itself as material: a shoot is also a story, if someone films it.
