The frame around Marrakech

Creative Mediterranean was a UNIDO programme funded by European Union and Italian cooperation, running across seven countries. My mandate sat at one point of it: the Marrakech Creative Interiors Cluster, where I worked as Cluster Development Agent. This entry describes the other half of that picture, the European institutional programme the Marrakech work answered to.

Why the frame matters

The frame shaped the work. Visibility and digital strategy had to serve a cluster in Marrakech and also hold up inside a programme reporting across seven countries. Part of my contribution was capitalizing the regional methodology, so that what was built in Marrakech could be used beyond it.

At programme level, Creative Mediterranean counted seven countries and fourteen clusters. Those are programme figures, not my personal result.

What I take forward

I work at the local end of an international programme while keeping its regional logic in view. What I built in Marrakech also had to feed a methodology shared across seven countries.
