The Future Fashion

Fashion’s emerging tools brought into one programme, with IZY Studio and BananaConf in Milan.

I co-created The Future Fashion with Zarina Izy and Sander Gansen and contributed to its programme. Organised by IZY Studio and BananaConf on 18 September 2024 at Lynk & Co Milan, it widened our fashion conversation from Web3 to AI, AR, 3D and the relationship between physical and digital creation.

A wider set of tools

Web3 × Fashion in 2023 had brought fashion decision-makers and Web3 builders together. With The Future Fashion in 2024, we widened the question: what could fashion make with AI, AR, 3D and the relationship between physical and digital objects?

IZY Studio and BananaConf organised the event at Lynk & Co Milan during Fashion Week. Zarina’s creative and fashion practice brought another perspective to the work Sander and I had begun through BananaCorp.

Creation, experience and business

Under the Aquatic Depths theme, the announced programme explored phygital fashion, AR mirrors, AI installations and 3D work, alongside panels, exhibitions and networking. These proposals connected the creator economy, digital business and the future of luxury.

The gathering brought speakers, fashion and people meeting into the same setting. It created space to discuss the tools through their creative and business possibilities.

Shaping the gathering

As co-creator and programme contributor, I worked alongside Zarina and Sander to continue the industry conversation in this broader format. IZY Studio and BananaConf each brought their own practice and community to the organising partnership.

Srusti Mehta, who worked with me on the event, describes the energy and ease I brought to the room. Her recommendation adds a collaborator’s perspective on how the gathering felt.

What I take forward

As the tools expanded, the industry conversation could expand with them, across creation, technology and business.

In their words

“he was truly the pulse of the room”
“He brings the kind of energy that gets everyone moving, makes people feel instantly comfortable, and somehow keeps the chaos fun.”
